Preimplantation genetic testing (PGT) includes several different types of tests done on embryos that have been created through IVF. These tests are done in the clinic, when the embryo is outside the mother’s body.
In PGT, the embryo’s DNA is screened for certain traits or anomalies. There are several different types of PGT that can be used to look for different types of genomic variation, including PGT-P, a test for polygenic risk of developing certain genetic conditions.
In our latest podcast, Dr. Alan Martinez delves into this new and exciting test. You can listen to the podcast here.
