Endometrial receptivity array: What you need to know

A relatively new test called endometrial receptivity array (ERA) is a diagnostic procedure that may help determine whether the endometrial cavity is ready for embryo implantation.

The procedure involves taking a biopsy of a small sample of the endometrium, or lining of the uterus, for molecular analysis. Problems with the endometrial lining are one of the causes for infertility in women with recurrent pregnancy loss or multiple failed IVF transfers. The results of an ERA biopsy are used to predict the ideal implantation window for the above patients.

Are you a candidate for an ERA biopsy? How does the procedure work? You can find the answers to these and other questions on our web site. If you have other questions or concerns, please give our office a call. We are happy to tell you more.
